A bank is there to help create wealth. Yes.
Therefore a bank must be materialistic. No.
A conscious organization exists in order to fulfill its higher non ego aims. A conscious bank is the same. It is there to help facilitate the creation of true wealth and that is through conscious businesses.
In the process, as true wealth is created, there will be a monetary outcome, money being a measure of wealth.
With materialism, religion is material accumulation. There is the idea that material accumulation will lead to happiness. But usually, it is not happy it is safety or freedom from fear. Beyond that, it is status or attention or whatever is thought will bring happiness. But that only brings happiness because it helps validate that whatever you were scared of is not happening – rejection or being invisible or any one of the ego fears.
With conscious businesses, happiness is direct, not via money or material goods or illusions of safety. Doing what you do for the sake of doing it brings happiness in itself so you are not doing it to make money to be happy, rather you do it and money is an outcome.
And because what you are doing is aligned with what the universe wants you to do, the universe will provide the appropriate resources for creation, including the right struggles to help you see and overcome your ego.
And it will want you to accumulate resources so that you can do more of what it wants you to do. Because you are the universe and the universe are you.
This type of thinking is not mainstream yet although my clients in finance executive coaching in London do come across it through me, and so do not have an accepted body of knowledge and experience, but as that experience grows and more conscious successes come about, the easier it will be to see that the conscious bank is focused on serving your and the world’s highest intention and thus gains happiness directly and not via material accumulation and therefore not by materialism.
